What is the schedule for the Handball World Championship 2025?
The draw for the IHF Women’s Handball World Championship 2025 will take place at the end of May 2025. Once the draw is complete, we will announce the full match schedule. However, the game days for the Dutch and German handball teams are already set, and tickets for these days are available in the ticket shop. This way, you can secure your spot on the days when these teams will play.
What is the President’s Cup?
The President’s Cup is part of the World Handball Championship in which the teams that have not qualified for the main round of the tournament compete. This competition offers the teams the opportunity to play for a ranking outside the top places and it gives them extra matches to increase their international experience.

Where can I buy tickets for the Handball World Championship 2025?
The IHF Women’s Handball World Championship 2025 will take place in the Netherlands and Germany.
What should I do if I am unable to complete the ordering process? (Netherlands)
You might not be able to click on the shopping cart because your account has not been activated. To activate it, click on the link in the email you received after creating your account. If you do not activate your account, you will not be able to complete the ordering process.
What are the ticket prices? (Netherlands)
Click here for an overview of all prices. The prices are calculated including 9% VAT. The handling fee is calculated including 21% VAT. The handling fee is €1,50 per ticket.
Can I buy kids tickets? (Netherlands)
There are also kids’ tickets available at half the price of a regular ticket. Please note: the number of kids’ tickets per event is limited (while supplies last). Kids’ tickets are intended for children aged 4 to 12. Children under 4 have free admission but must sit on a parent’s lap.
Can I buy a disabled ticket? (Netherlands)
Yes, on the wheelchair platform, each accessible spot includes space for one companion. The price for an accessible ticket is equivalent to a category 2 ticket. Accessible tickets can be purchased through the official ticket shop.
If you are coming with additional people, they will need to purchase their tickets via the official ticket shop. Please note that without an accessible ticket and companion ticket, you will not have access to the wheelchair platform.
Can I change or cancel my ticket application? (Netherlands)
The IHF Women’s Handball World Championship 2025 organization does not accept returns on purchases. Always double-check that the date works for you and that you’ve selected the correct match. You may change your ticket to another day, subject to availability, by emailing ticketing@wkhandbal.nl.
Can I get a refund for my ticket? (Netherlands)
The organization of the IHF Women’s Handball World Championship 2025 does not take back purchases. Always check if the date is convenient for you.
How can I make a group reservation? (Netherlands)
If you are planning to attend the IHF Women’s Handball World Championship 2025 with more than 20 people, you can send your group reservation request to ticketing@wkhandbal.nl. Please include the following information in your email:
- Group name
- Attention to
- Email address for ticket delivery
- Number of adult (13+) and kids tickets (4-12 years)
- Date, session/match (session code), and location
- Category 1, 2 or 3
- Billing information
- Company/club name
- Attention to
- Address
- Postal code
- City
- Country
- Email for invoice
- Vat number if applicable
Please note: Ticket requests are subject to availability and handled on a first-come, first-served basis. The group reservation is only final once the organization has confirmed the request. Tickets will be sent no later than two weeks before the event. Tickets will only be sent after the invoice has been paid.
What do the session codes mean? (Netherlands)
Each match/session has a unique session code. This session code is linked to the matches played within that session and corresponds to the tournament phase. The number of matches played in a single session may vary. Click here for the match schedule including session codes.
- In the Preliminary Round, 1 or 2 matches are played in one session.
- In the Main Round, 3 matches are played in one session.
- In the President’s Cup, 2 matches are played in one session.
- In the Final Round, 1 match is played in one session.
What should I do if I haven’t received a confirmation email (but the money has been deducted)? (Netherlands)
It may take some time for your order to be processed, which can cause the confirmation email to arrive later. It’s also possible that the email ends up in your spam folder. If you can’t find it there either, please contact the organization at ticketing@wkhandbal.nl.
Didn’t receive a confirmation email, but the money has been deducted?
Due to an error in the payment process, the system may display an error message and fail to reserve your order. In such cases, the money will be deducted, but the order will not be completed, so you won’t receive a confirmation email. The amount will automatically be refunded to your account within three business days. Since the order was not placed, you will need to order new tickets via the ticket shop.
When will I receive my ticket? (Netherlands)
After completing the entire purchase process and making the payment, you will receive a confirmation email. No later than two weeks before the event, you will receive an email with your tickets. Please note that this email might end up in your spam or promotions folder.

Can I purchase a parking ticket for the IHF Women’s Handball World Championship 2025? (Netherlands)
The organization of the IHF Women’s Handball World Championship 2025 does not sell parking tickets. Visit the Rotterdam Ahoy or Maaspoort websites for parking and public transport information.
How can I resell my tickets? (Netherlands)
It is strictly forbidden to resell a ticket or offer it in any other commercial way. However, it is permitted to transfer or resell tickets to other natural persons (whose details will be linked to the tickets online) on condition that
- the tickets are for personal use;
- this resale never takes place for a fee higher than the published price of the ticket, possibly increased by a handling fee as paid by the ticket owner;
- and the new ticket holder accepts the general terms and conditions as published on this website.
The person who has been allocated the tickets is at all times responsible for the correct use of the tickets. In the event of (attempted) resale or commercial use in contravention of the organizer’s terms and conditions, IHF Women’s Handball World Championship 2025is entitled to invalidate the relevant applications/tickets.
Is it possible to sit two separate orders next to each other? (Netherlands)
The organization cannot guarantee that two separate orders will sit next to each other. If you want to sit next to each other, it is recommended to buy these tickets at the same time and in the same order.

Which rules should I take into account during my visit to the IHF Women’s Handball World Championship 2025?

What am I not allowed to bring to the event? (Netherlands)
It is not allowed to bring professional film, photo or sound equipment or drones (both on the ground and in the air) to the IHF Women’s Handball World Championship 2025. To take photos and videos, it is allowed to bring a smartphone, a small digital compact camera, or a GoPro camera.
The following items are not allowed on WHWC 2025 site:
- Bags larger than A4 size and thicker than 10 cm,
- Drinks and food,
- Glass, cans, and plastic bottles (refillable water bottles are allowed),
- Soft or hard drugs,
- Nitrous oxide,
- Blunt, striking, or firearms, or items that resemble weapons or are offensive,
- Flags with poles longer than one meter,
- Aerosol cans (except sunscreen, deodorant, and perfume),
- Gas stoves and (disposable) barbecues,
- Umbrellas,
- Sound carriers, horns, or similar items,
- Fireworks or torches,
- Provocative messages on clothing,
- Coolers, (foldable) chairs, and stools,
- Any items too large to be placed under a stadium seat,
- Pets (except assistance dogs),
- Promotional materials such as flyers, brochures, banners (unless approved by and with permission from the organization),
- Professional filming, photography, or audio equipment (unless approved and accredited by the organization), selfie sticks, drones (both on the ground and in the air).
Visitors may not throw objects or liquids on the event premises.
On the event premises, visitors may not possess or use objects that, in the judgment of authorized staff, could cause unnecessary inconvenience to others or pose a danger to people or property. This includes items that produce excessive noise, such as a foghorn or trumpet.
Decisions made by security personnel are binding. Anyone entering the WHWC 2025 grounds automatically agrees to cooperate with security checks. If illegal items are found, the visitor will be handed over to the police.
Confiscated items will be disposed of in designated waste containers and will not be stored.
